Drawn to the outdoors and the beauty of the wheat fields at harvest time, I hand gather stalks of golden grain and find myself immersed in this art forms endless energy for transformation. Whether it is through intricately woven designs or pressed marquetry, it’s this essence of the beauty of nature captured and recreated that brings a sense of awe to the beholder.

I first began creating art work from wheat after attending a workshop at a local art center in Chester, Montana in 1978. The following morning found me out gathering grain in nearby fields, anxious to explore all the possibilities! As a member of the National association of Wheat Weavers, I have had the opportunity to teach classes at conventions throughout the U.S., as well as in schools and galleries. I am fortunate to have studied with and shared techniques with masters and folk artists from Australia, England, Hungary, the Netherlands and United States. My art work has won numerous honors and awards, and is in private and corporate collections across the U.S.
