The roots of Lynn’s art are in rural Montana. His love of detail and realism reflects his philosophy “My art lives and breathes”. Wildlife and landscapes come to life with his skillful use of tone, texture and contrast. Lynn embraces the honesty the humble pencil delivers with each drawing.

Born and raised in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains in Townsend, Montana, Lynn had the fortune to witness Montana’s ranching, farming, and mining lifestyles first hand. This dramatic, sometimes harsh, but always beautiful landscape, wildlife, and its people have helped forge the artist Lynn is today.

Few things are as satisfying to Lynn as creating a moment in time for someone else to enjoy. He strives to find the essence, mood, and story behind his inner vision.

Lynn has taken graphite, better known as pencil, to a whole new level. In 2015 his graphite piece “Raven’s View” was featured in “South West Art Magazine” to advertise The “Western Spirit Art Show” in Cheyenne Wyoming. Lynn has also been feature in “Western Art Collector” and “Studio Visit Magazine”. He has been a featured artist in “The Colors of Fall Art Show” in Great Falls and “Fall Fest” in Townsend Montana. Lynn was selected as a staff favorite by the “Fine Art Studio Online” competition for his work “Ole’s Hands”. At the Virginia City Montana Quick draw Lynn’s pastel piece received the highest auction bid in 2015.

Lynn is represented exclusively by “The Creighton Block Gallery” in Big Sky Montana.
