Growing up, I didn’t understand why anyone couldn’t just pick up a pencil and draw, because it was such a natural part of me.
After a lifetime spent in the deep woods, and living in the western culture, my background was a diverse gathering of experiences and my artwork was just as diverse, trying different mediums and subjects.
At the urging of a friend, who is a promotional agent for creatives, I’m now doing what I know best…..wildlife.
Scratchboard Etching came into my life about 10 years ago. Being a detailed medium, it lends itself perfectly to wildlife. Capturing those fleeting expressions and allowing a look into the eyes of these beautiful animals is the joy that I find in creating for other people.
The art form of automobiles has been a real fascination to me for years too, and so they make their appearance in my scratchboards, along with landscapes in oils for a change of pace from the exacting etching of lines.
Life has been joyous, grand and heartbreaking, and now with a passion that has held steadfast for all these years, my life is where it belongs, creating
